Position Overview:

We’re looking for a creative and motivated Communication Officer to join our team and support the delivery of engaging, professional and consistent communications across total Support services.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong written and digital communication skills who can create engaging content, manage our digital platforms and help bring the Total Support Services brand to life across a range of channels.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Communication Officer to join our team at our Adelaide office.

Purpose:

  • Support the development and delivery of Total Support Services internal and external communications.
  • Create engaging and accessible content across digital and traditional communication channels.
  • Maintain a consistent and professional Total Support Services brand across all communications and marketing materials.
  • Support the organisation’s digital presence, including website and social media platforms.
  • Promote Total Support Services, services, initiatives and achievements through high-quality written and visual content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, edit and proofread content for websites, social media, newsletters, marketing materials and other communications.
  • Manage and update website content using WordPress.
  • Create and schedule engaging content across TSS social media platforms.
  • Design professional graphics and promotional materials using Canva and/or Adobe programs.
  • Capture and produce photography and video content to support organisational communications and marketing activities.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of communication and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain consistent branding, messaging and presentation across all TSS communication channels.
  • Support internal communications and the preparation of organisational announcements and updates.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify communication needs and develop appropriate content.
  • Ensure appropriate privacy, consent and approval requirements are followed when producing and publishing content, including photographs and videos.
  • Ensure communications are accessible, accurate and appropriate for the intended audience.
  • Monitor digital communications and engagement and assist with reporting on communication activities and outcomes.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in a communications, marketing, digital content or similar role.
  • Strong written communication, copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience managing and updating websites, preferably using WordPress.
  • Experience creating and managing social media content.
  • Graphic design skills using Canva and/or Adobe programs.
  • Photography and video content creation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for professional presentation and branding.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Understanding of privacy, consent and appropriate use of images and content.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant qualification in Communications, Marketing, Media or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in communications, marketing, digital content or a similar role is desirable.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant communications, design, digital or creative work is highly regarded.
  • Experience within disability, community services, health, aged care or a similar sector will be highly regarded.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Deep knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards, audits, and compliance
  • Proven experience in mergers, acquisitions, or business development in regulated sectors.
  • Strong governance, risk, and documentation capability.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A commitment to person‑centered practice, inclusion, and participant rights
  • NDIS Worker Screening & Working with Children Check.
