Due to continued growth within our Personal Training department and an internal promotion, TotalFusion Platinum Newstead is seeking an experienced Personal Trainer to join our leadership team as our Assistant Personal Training Manager.
Reporting to our Personal Training Manager, this role plays a key part in supporting the performance, development and day-to-day operations of one of Brisbane’s largest and most established Personal Training departments.

About the Role
As the Assistant Personal Training Manager, you will work closely with the Personal Training Manager to support the day-to-day operations, development and performance of the Personal Training department.
This is a part-time leadership position consisting of 12 hours per week, structured across three 4-hour shifts. One shift will be worked alongside the Personal Training Manager, with two shifts managed independently.
The role is ideal for a people-focused leader who enjoys mentoring others, maintaining high standards and contributing to a positive, high-performance team culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Personal Training Manager with the day-to-day running of the Personal Training department.
• Facilitate one professional development session per week for the PT team.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding and development of new Personal Trainers.
• Maintain gym floor standards and team communication during independent leadership shifts.
• Act as a visible and approachable point of contact for both members and trainers.
• Support trainer development through coaching, guidance and accountability.
• Contribute to the culture, standards and ongoing success of the Personal Training department.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced and highly respected coach who combines strong technical knowledge with exceptional people skills.
You will bring:
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience as an active Personal Trainer with a strong client retention record.
• A movement-first training philosophy and an understanding of the long-term impact of dysfunctional movement patterns.
• Certificate IV in Fitness (essential).
• A degree in Exercise Science, Human Movement or a related field will be highly regarded.
• A genuine interest in health, wellness, recovery and longevity.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to provide constructive feedback while remaining coachable and committed to ongoing growth.
• A genuine passion for developing both your own business and the people around you.
• A collaborative, team-first approach and the ability to positively influence culture and performance.
• A strong appreciation for holistic training approaches including movement quality, recovery and long-term health outcomes.
