Role Overview
Tilt Renewables is offering a unique opportunity for a paralegal to join our business and preview all that in-house life has to offer. This role is offered on a 2 day per week, casual basis.
In this role you will primarily support the Land, Legal and Governance teams with a broad range of matters during project development, delivery, and operations of our renewable energy assets. Your tasks will be varied and may include administering landowner agreements and their contract and payment records, reviewing and editing contracts, supporting due diligence processes, research, and supporting the team with other general administration tasks.
Key Accountabilities:
The key accountabilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Landowner contract administration: Administer landowner agreements end to end, including maintaining our land records and contract management systems (agreements, payment obligations, supplier and banking details, reminders and reports), preparing and managing Contract Execution Forms, coordinating electronic signing, mortgagee consents, caveats, conveyancing and legal reimbursements.
- Reviewing and editing land and other contracts: Review executed agreements to identify key terms, payment obligations, expiry dates, notice periods and option dates, and edit terms to ensure accuracy, clarity and compliance.
- Supporting due diligence: Assist in evaluating and verifying critical information to support informed decision making.
- Research: Conduct targeted research to provide insights and support planning and operational decisions.
- Administrative support: Provide efficient administrative assistance, including document management, document library filing, scheduling and team coordination.
Key Relationships:
This role will work closely with the Land team, Legal and Governance team and other areas of the business as needed.
Skills and Experience:
Currently studying a Juris Doctor
