We are a community-focused provider dedicated to ensuring participants and their families feel welcome, valued, and expertly supported. 

We are seeking a compassionate Female Disability Support Worker to provide assistance and care to an individual with a disability in Wagga Wagga that needs assistance with personal care and daily living.

The Role 

  • Shift Structure: 5 hours per week – Tuesday 09:30am-11:30am, Wednesday 11:15-2:15pm.
  • Environment: Personal care/ Daily living support
  • Type: This could be a casual role or as a contractor.
  • Rate: L2 P1 – $45.28 Cert 3 in individual supports or community service 
    • L2 P2 – $46.70 Cert 4 or higher in individual supports or community service 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to our client, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to create and implement individualized care plans.
  • Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support.
  • Personal care and physically fit to perform manual handling where required.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and reporting. 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a support worker role or similar position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with our client and their family.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing situations.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
