Our beautiful hotel is looking for an Assistant Concierge to join our team on a Full-Time basis. The Role

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests, therefore great Customer Service skills are a must! Sound knowledge of public transport, local attractions, restaurants & events in Melbourne are essential elements of the role.

Duties

  • Assisting in leading and mentoring the team
  • Delegation of tasks to the team ensuring all guests needs are met
  • Handling guest queries and resolving them
  • Delivering guests luggage and collecting guest luggage on check out
  • Providing information on all facilities within the hotel
  • Valet parking of guest cars (both Automatic and Manual)
  • Provide support to the reception team during peak periods to ensure smooth front office operations
  • Follow up on guest requests and special arrangements as directed by department leaders, ensuring completion to a high standard
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel partners, tour operators, and local providers to promote memorable guest experiences and day trips
  • Proactively contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist across departments when required

Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a hotel environment
  • A real passion for delivering position outcomes
  • Sound knowledge of Melbourne
  • Communication and time management skills
  • Exceptional eye for detail and a positive attitude
  • Previous Opera knowledge will be highly regarded
  • Valid Manual Drivers License is a must
