Responsibilities:
- Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and surrounding tissues.
- Diagnose dental conditions and oral health problems, analysing findings and recommending treatment options.
- Perform preventive services like cleaning, fluoride treatments and sealants.
- Restore teeth affected by decay, trauma or other factors by filling cavities, repairing chips or cracks and performing root canals.
- Extraction of teeth.
- Fitting crowns, bridges, and dentures.
- Offer cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening.
- Patient education about diet, oral hygiene, and other preventive dental care practices.
- Manage and coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals such as orthodontists and oral surgeons.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
- State license to practice dentistry.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and create a positive patient experience.
- Attention to detail and strong manual dexterity.
- 3 plus years’ experience practicing dentistry is preferred.
