We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (Melanographer) to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting the early detection and monitoring of melanoma and other skin cancers.
Working alongside leading Dermatologists and skin cancer specialists, you will perform specialised whole-body photography and dermoscopic imaging using advanced technology to support accurate diagnosis and ongoing surveillance of patients at increased risk of skin cancer.

About the Role
As a Melanographer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality whole-body photography and dermoscopic imaging services, ensuring patients receive exceptional care throughout their skin cancer monitoring journey.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing total body photography and dermoscopic imaging procedures
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient imaging records
- Supporting Dermatologists and Registrars with image acquisition and review
- Educating patients about imaging procedures and follow-up requirements
- Ensuring the quality and integrity of clinical imaging data
- Assisting with melanoma surveillance programs and specialist clinics
- Maintaining imaging equipment and associated software systems
- Participating in quality improvement, accreditation and research activities
About You
You are passionate about patient care, highly organised, and possess exceptional attention to detail. You enjoy working with technology and are committed to supporting the early detection of skin cancer.
To be successful, you will have:
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Qualifications as a Melanographer
- Experience in medical photography, melanography, dermatology, nursing, health sciences, medical imaging, or a related healthcare discipline
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Confidence working with clinical technology and specialised software
- The ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- A commitment to providing outstanding patient-centred care
