The Co-Group are currently recruiting a Female Support Worker to provide ongoing, dedicated support for a participant in Banora Point, NSW.
This role would suit an experienced support worker who is passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care and understands the importance of consistency, trust, and relationship building in achieving positive outcomes.
About the Role
The participant requires support from a confident, capable and compassionate support worker with experience supporting participants who have complex personal care and high-care needs.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting NDIS participants with complex personal care needs.
- Strong hands-on experience providing:
- Showering and personal hygiene support
- Dressing and grooming assistance
- Continence care
- Mobility and transfer support
- Overnight supports
- Experience working with participants who have:
- Pressure injury risks
- Skin integrity concerns
- Other high-care support requirements
- A strong understanding of:
- Person-centred practice
- Participant choice and control
- Dignity of risk
- Promoting independence
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Access to a comprehensive insured car with 5 seats
- NDIS Module – Quality, Safety & You
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) for paid employment
- Blue Card (WWCC) for paid employment
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using approved techniques.
