Female Support Worker – Banora Point 2486

The Co-Group are seeking an experienced and reliable Support Worker with strong manual handling skills to support an 81-year-old lady living in the Banora Point/Tweed area.

The participant has Cerebral Palsy affecting her lower limbs and requires assistance with transfers, personal care, and daily living activities. She also has dementia, and can occasionally become verbally challenging when confused or distressed.

Regular Shifts:

• Tuesday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
• Thursday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
• Every second weekend: 9:00am – 1:00pm (both Saturday and Sunday)

The role involves providing personal care, assisting with transfers, and supporting daily living activities. Experience with hoists and following manual handling plans is highly desirable.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Access to a comprehensive insured car with 5 seats
• NDIS Module – Quality, Safety & You 
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) for paid employment
• Blue Card (WWCC) for paid employment
• Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using approved techniques.
