Description

We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and skilled Support Workers to join our growing team. This role involves supporting participants with complex needs to achieve their goals while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to participants living in community settings, and in-home environments. You will work with individuals who have complex support needs and require confident, proactive, and professional care.

Essential Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 6months experience working in the disability support sector.
  • Must have full availability
  • Demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex needs, including:
    • Dementia
    • Personal Care
    • Psychosocial
    • Alzheimer’s
  • Strong understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed support practices.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings and sleepovers.

Qualifications & Compliance

Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or a related qualification.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check (where required).
  • Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
  • Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Current National Police Check (if required).

Desirable Skills & Experience

The following will be highly regarded:

  • High attention to detail
  • Knowledge of following & understanding of Behaviour Support Plans
  • Manual handling and hoist experience.
  • Dementia or other complex health support experience.
