Description

Join the TGI Sport Team:

TGI Sport is a tech-led global sports media company that is trusted by the world’s premium sporting organisations since 1997. With over 15 offices and 440 employees worldwide, we support over 5,000 events through pioneering technology solutions, global media rights expertise and leading sports marketing knowledge.

Our TGI Merchandise team are experts in engaging fans through product, who work together to create a seamless consumer journey that delivers benchmark outcomes for both fans and our partners.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our Professional Clubs team in Melbourne. This is an ideal next step for someone who has built their foundations in an account executive or membership sales role and is ready to run accounts of their own.

Working alongside a Senior Account Manager and reporting into our Head of Professional Clubs, you’ll take the lead on the day-to-day delivery of merchandise programs for some of the biggest names in Australian sport. From product coordination and costings through to quoting, order management and final delivery, you’ll be the person our clubs rely on to get it right.

This is a role with genuine ownership from day one, and the structure and support around you to grow into a broader commercial remit as you go. If you know professional sport, love the pace of it and want your own accounts to build, this is the step up.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing the day-to-day execution of professional club accounts and corporate premium programs
  • Delivering club programs in line with client requirements, budgets and timelines
  • Coordinating club product components, and preparing product costings and client quotes
  • Owning orders end-to-end, from brief through to delivery. Including customised and branded merchandise
  • Building responsive, trusted relationships with club contacts and driving retention through consistently reliable service
  • Partnering with internal teams to keep product selections, timelines and service expectations on track
  • Monitoring order progress, identifying risks early and escalating before they become client problems
  • Maintaining accurate data across orders, pricing and product details, and reporting on program performance and sales activity
  • Contributing to revenue, gross profit and margin targets through accurate execution and organic growth across your accounts

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in an account executive, membership sales or similar client-facing role, ideally gained within a professional club, sporting organisation, retail or merchandising environment
  • A genuine sports enthusiast with an understanding of the commercial sports landscape in Australia
  • An acumen for sales and a commercial mindset – you understand revenue, gross profit and cost of sales, and can follow pricing structures to quote accurately
  • Self-sufficiency: you take ownership of your workload, manage your own priorities and don’t wait to be asked
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple programs and deadlines at once
  • Clear, confident communication across email, phone and in person, with clients and internal stakeholders alike
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy – it matters when programs are on tight timelines
  • An appetite to learn, take feedback and keep building – you’ll be supported and stretched in equal measure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and comfort using CRM/ERP systems, or the willingness to learn them quickly
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is well regarded
  • A current Australian Driver’s Licence, and the ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
