Forklift Driver- Western Junction

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver to join our team in Western Junction, Tasmania. This permanent, full-time position plays a crucial role in our manufacturing and production operations, ensuring the efficient processing of incoming and outgoing products. As an entry-level position, it offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in a warehousing role.

Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading of product from trucks into our freezers and chillers.
• Lifting and manually handling boxes onto pallets and trucks. This is heavy physical tasks required for this role.
• Using a forklift to load and unload products from trucks, move products around, and sorting products into shelving and designated areas.
• Complete order lists and packing to customer specifications, load customer products as per specifications.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the whole process.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to promote a safe working environment.
• Monitor equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a background in food production or manufacturing is advantageous.
• We will provide all training, including a forklift licence.
• Car and transport is required for this role.
• Previous experience in a similar role is not necessary, making this position suitable for entry-level candidates.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
