Are you passionate about offering high-quality spa services and supporting the wellbeing of guests? Be part of one of the only eco-tourism operators in the world to provide spa services to guests while on track.

The Tasmanian Walking Company is proudly Tasmanian and has been walking for over 30 years, delivering unique experiences that connect guests to some of Tasmania’s most remote, wild, and special places. Our history and reputation will be with you every step of the way, and this extends to our lodge at Three Capes.

Our mission is to provide superb, guided journeys out of everyday life into wild land and seascapes. We are driven by shared values: a sense of belonging, genuine fun, wowing guests, environmental and cultural integrity, simplicity, and passionate leadership.

About the role:

We’re offering 3 exciting opportunities for Casual Spa Therapists who are passionate about providing exceptional treatments and creating a nurturing, holistic experience for every guest.

Enjoy the breathtaking views of Munro Bight and Tasman National Park as you offer a range of services at the Cape Pillar Lodge Spa.

We offer massage and some spa services exclusively to guests taking part in the Three Capes Walk, based near Cape Pillar on the southeast coast of Tasmania. Here, you will experience true communion with nature, combining simplicity with an off-grid lifestyle.

You will spend 6 days out at a time, working a rotating roster of 6 days on / 8 days off.

As a hybrid Spa and Lodge Assistant position, you will provide spa-related services while also supporting the eco-lodge with general operational needs and some cleaning tasks. Please note, there is a 3-hour hike into and out of the lodge from Fortescue Bay at the start and end of your shift, for which you will be paid.

This position runs through June 2027.

About you:

  • 1+ years’ experience working in a similar role or industry preferred
  • Experienced with using online booking systems and schedules (Fresha System preferred)
  • Possess excellent communication, rapport-building, and organisational skills
  • Be self-motivated, reliable, autonomous, resilient and comfortable working alone
  • Able to travel to and work in a remote location, and comfortable hiking up to 3 hours with a pack weighing up to 10kg
  • Have a passion for the outdoors, wellbeing, and wilderness experiences
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Beauty or Massage (or equivalent)
