Description

**Immediate start in Yulara, NT – applicants must hold a current driver’s licence, RSA, and Food Safety Supervisor qualification (SITXFSA005 and SITXFSA006) qualification; please do not apply if you do not meet these essential requirements.**

This casual mid-season role runs from mid-June 2026 to mid-September.

Shared accommodation is provided while on shift.


Tasmanian Walking Company (TWC) is seeking a Lodge Host to join our Uluru-Kata Tjuta Walk team in Northern Territory.

For more than 30 years, Tasmanian Walking Company has created unforgettable guided walking experiences that connect guests with some of Australia’s most remote, wild and remarkable places.

While our roots are in Tasmania, we also operate on mainland Australia and are entering an exciting period of growth as we expand our portfolio of walks and experiences.

Our boutique multi-day walks combine exceptional hospitality, genuine connection, and immersive nature-based experiences in extraordinary cultural and wilderness landscapes.

About the role:

We are seeking several Lodge Hosts (Casual) to join our team in Yulara, Northern Territory, surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who loves hospitality, enjoys cooking, and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences. You will host and cater for up to 16 guests at a time, while also supporting the day-to-day presentation, operation and upkeep of the lodges during your shift.

About you:

You are warm, capable and self-motivated, with a genuine passion for hospitality and the outdoors. Given the remote nature of the role, you will be comfortable working autonomously, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and confident managing both guest-facing and behind-the-scenes responsibilities.

  • A commitment to high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, service, hygiene and safety
  • Experience preparing meals and supporting food service in line with food safety standards and procedures
  • Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB021) *to be certified in the state you will be working in*
  • Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety (SITXFSA005)
  • Participate in Safe Food Handling (SITXFSA006)

Desirable:

  • Provide First Aid
  • Provide CPR (HLTAID009) *must be current within 12 months*
