Description
Symons Clark Logistics is a 150-year-old, family owned, Port Adelaide based transport and logistics company. Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing,
container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project
logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of trailers, and a variety of other vehicles and equipment within the business, as well as contributing to the broader workshop team. As a part of the workshop team, you will be required to teach and mentor staff, whilst also working closely with the Workshop Manager to drive continuous improvement initiatives. We will provide on the job training, to help build knowledge and experience in what Symons Clark do.
What you will be doing:
- Working day shift on Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week.
- Servicing and repairing semi – trailers and a variety on high-way equipment
- All work to be carried out with safe work practices.
Do you have…
• Trade Certificate as a Diesel Mechanic (desired but not essential), upskill to trade certificate for the right successful applicant.
• C class driver’s licence essential (Truck HC or MC desirable)
• Proven experience servicing and maintaining semi-trailers.
• Auto electrical and / or hydraulic knowledge (desired but not essential)
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• A strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• High risk forklift License
