The Fleet Allocator – Linehaul plays a crucial role in optimising the allocation of transport resources within our organisation. Based in Port Adelaide, South Australia, this permanent full-time position is essential for ensuring efficient linehaul operations, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our transport and rail services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating fleet movements, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate the allocation of fleet resources for linehaul operations to ensure timely and efficient transport services.
  • Monitor and analyse fleet performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Collaborate with drivers and other stakeholders to optimise routes and schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet movements and allocations, providing regular reports to management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to enhance fleet utilisation and reduce operational costs.
  • Respond to any issues or challenges that arise during fleet operations, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.

What you will have:

  • Proven experience in a coordination role ideally within the transport or logistics industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with drivers and other team members.
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software and other relevant technology.
  • A strong understanding of transport regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
