Experienced MC-Unrestricted Road Train Driver? Join Our Regional Mining Operations Team.
We’re looking for experienced South Australian Triple and Quad Road Train operators to join our Regional Mining Operations team. If you have an MC-Unrestricted Licence, a current Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence (or willingness to obtain), a clean driving history over the past five years, and the experience to operate safely in remote mining environments, we’d encourage you to apply.

FIFO is available from Adelaide, with DIDO opportunities for drivers living within commuting distance of the relevant mine site (opportunities are available in Carrapateena, Prominent Hill, Pimba to Olympic Dam and Pimba to Port Pirie). These rosters are a mix of days and nights.
Interstate applicants be aware that travel to site would be at own expense.
The role
- Operating large road train combinations and transporting dangerous goods in accordance with all legislative and site requirements, NHVR and Chain of Responsibility
- Completing pre-start inspections and transport documentation
- Loading and unloading freight safely and professionally
- Representing Symons Clark Logistics with a strong customer focus
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents to management promptly.
What we’re looking for:
- MC-Unrestricted driver’s licence
- Clean driving history over the past five years
- Ability to be clean shaven
- Proven experience as a truck driver operating a road ranger gearbox and MC-Unrestricted licence, preferably in the mining or heavy transport industry
- Current Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong commitment to safety and fatigue management
- Professional attitude and reliable work ethic
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights as required.
Nice to have:
- Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience transporting dangerous goods within mining, fuel, bulk haulage or remote operations environments.
- Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain).
- Reach Stacker Licence (or willingness to obtain).
Successful applicants will complete a comprehensive pre-employment medical (including a Fit to Drive assessment), drug and alcohol screening, and a police check.
