Our prize home lotteries play a critical role in funding lifesaving activities across Australia, and we’re looking for an experienced leader to drive operational excellence across this important function.
About the Role
Reporting to the Lottery Manager, the Lottery Operations Team Lead is responsible for leading the Lottery Operations team and ensuring the successful delivery of lottery operations, prize home management, process optimisation and compliance activities.
This role provides leadership across operational planning, project delivery, contractor management, process improvement and regulatory compliance while supporting the ongoing growth and success of the Surf Life Saving Lottery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Lottery Operations team to deliver operational and strategic outcomes.
- Manage team workflows, priorities and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and performance.
- Oversee prize home projects including property assessment, enhancements, maintenance and handover.
- Manage contractors, suppliers and external service providers to ensure delivery within budget and timeframes.
- Drive continuous improvement across lottery processes, systems and documentation.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, process maps and team resources.
- Monitor project delivery and proactively identify and resolve risks and bottlenecks.
- Provide oversight of licensing, regulatory and compliance requirements across all lottery products and jurisdictions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Who You Are
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, operations, construction, manufacturing systems or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience leading operational teams and delivering business outcomes.
- Experience in process improvement, project management and operational optimisation.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets, resources and vendors.
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience operating in a regulated environment.
- Experience in lotteries, fundraising, property, construction or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
