Description
Admin Army (www.adminarmy.com) runs payroll for businesses across New Zealand and Australia, and a large share of that processing happens through our team in Suva. We are hiring another Payroll Officer to join them.
This is a training role. We will teach you the platforms, the legislation and the client handling from the ground up. If you already have hands on New Zealand or Australian payroll experience, tell us on application. It shortens the ramp up considerably, and we want to talk to you either way.
What you will do
- Process pay runs for a portfolio of New Zealand and Australian clients, across platforms including PayHero, Employment Hero, iPayroll and Xero Payroll.
- Check timesheets, leave records and payroll inputs against each client’s process, and query anything that does not add up.
- Calculate tax, KiwiSaver or superannuation, student loan repayments and other deductions correctly, first time.
- Answer client payroll queries directly, and know when to escalate.
- Work alongside Payroll Advisors and other Payroll Officers across New Zealand, Fiji and Australia, all operating to one set of documented standards.
What you bring
- Accuracy. You check your own work and catch the small errors before someone else has to.
- Comfort with numbers. You can reconcile a set of figures and work out why they do not tie out.
- Clear written and spoken English.
- A degree or diploma in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
- The instinct to ask when you are not sure, rather than guess. In payroll, a guess becomes someone’s underpayment.
Existing New Zealand or Australian payroll experience is highly advantageous. If that is you, say so early.
What you get
- Full on the job training, from week one through to running live pay runs on your own.
- FJD 20,000 to 40,000 per annum, set on hire based on assessed skill level. Full training from FJD 20,000. If you already run New Zealand or Australian payroll, you could start well above that, up to FJD 40,000.
- A primarily home-based role, with the whole team getting together once a month at a Suva office space.
- A team that reviews every pay run before it goes out, so you are never carrying a client’s payroll alone, and that encourages and celebrates your growth. If you’re growing, we’re doing our jobs right.
How to apply
- Submit your application via LinkedIn or email hello@adminarmy.com if you really want to razzle dazzle us.
- Applications close 14 September 2026.
