ABOUT STANLEY COLLEGE
Stanley College is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Marketing & Domestic Sales to lead our marketing, domestic recruitment and student acquisition strategy during an exciting period of growth.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for strengthening our market position, increasing brand awareness, driving domestic student enrolments, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across our Higher Education and Vocational Education portfolio.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for marketing, digital engagement, domestic recruitment, admissions, lead management, and conversion activities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Head of Marketing & Domestic Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing and recruitment strategies that generate demand, build brand awareness, increase student enquiries, and improve enrolment conversion outcomes.
You will take ownership of the entire prospective student journey—from awareness and enquiry through to application and commencement—ensuring every touchpoint delivers an exceptional experience.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and requires a strong commercial focus on growth, lead generation, conversion optimisation, and revenue performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership
- Develop and implement the College’s marketing and brand strategy.
- Strengthen brand awareness, reputation, and market positioning.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and growth initiatives.
- Lead market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights activities.
Digital Marketing & Campaign Management
- Oversee digital marketing including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and website optimisation.
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness, engagement, and qualified enquiries.
- Monitor campaign performance and return on investment.
- Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Marketing Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead the College’s content, communications, and public relations activities.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and audiences.
- Build relationships with industry, community, education, and media stakeholders.
- Support institutional initiatives through targeted marketing and engagement strategies.
Customer Experience & Insights
- Monitor and analyse customer behaviour, market trends, and campaign effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the prospective student experience.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to strengthen the College’s market presence and customer engagement.
- Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to measure marketing performance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team.
- Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build capability across marketing, communications, and digital engagement functions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- Degree qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a senior marketing leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies, lead generation campaigns, brand growth initiatives, and data-driven marketing programs.
- Strong expertise in digital marketing, CRM systems and marketing analytics.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable marketing outcomes, brand growth, audience engagement, and campaign performance.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
- Experience leading high-performing teams.
Desirable
- Experience within Higher Education, Vocational Education and Training (VET), or related sectors.
- Knowledge of Australian education recruitment markets.
- Experience with student lifecycle management and CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics).
