Description

Spectran Group is seeking a practical, hands‑on Safety Advisor to support safe work practices and strengthen safety culture across our Logistics & Environmental Division. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in frontline environments, builds strong relationships, and can influence safe behaviours.

About the Role

You will work closely with managers and employees to ensure WHS requirements are understood, applied, and embedded in daily operations. The role focuses on hazard identification, incident response, site inspections, and supporting continuous improvement in risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive safety culture and reinforce safe behaviours
  • Provide practical WHS guidance to managers and employees
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification and incident investigations
  • Complete site inspections, safety interactions and compliance audits
  • Support toolbox talks and workforce consultation activities
  • Maintain WHS documentation, registers, SWMS and audit records
  • Monitor WHS legislation and advise on required updates
  • Support WHS initiatives, campaigns and improvement activities

About You

  • Experience in a WHS advisory or compliance role
  • Formal WHS qualification (Cert IV WHS or equivalent preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and Codes of Practice
  • Skilled in risk assessments, incident investigations and audits
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building capability
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a practical, solutions‑focused approach
  • Proficient with WHS systems, cloud‑based software and Microsoft Office

Desirable: Knowledge of HVNL, ICAM Lead training, Lead Auditor training, Cert IV TAE, experience with ISO 45001/14001/9001.
