About the role:

Based in our site in Tonsley, the Avionics Electronics Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and certification of aircraft avionics and electronic systems. The role ensures all avionics equipment operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with applicable aviation regulations, manufacturer requirements, and company procedures.

As the successful candidate you will:

·Perform cable manufacturing skills such as Soldering and Crimping etc

·Perform PCB / Electronic Component Assembly

·Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems.

·Inspect, test, repair, and replace defective avionics components.

·Complete fault diagnosis using specialized test equipment and diagnostic tools.

·Conduct system functional tests and operational checks following maintenance activities.

·Ensure aircraft systems meet airworthiness requirements before release to service.

·Install avionics equipment including:

o    Communication systems

o    Navigation systems

o    Flight management systems (FMS)

o    Radar systems

o    GPS and satellite communication systems

o    Autopilot systems

o    Aircraft data recording equipment

·Perform system upgrades and avionics modifications in accordance with approved engineering documentation.

·Fabricate and install wiring harnesses, connectors, and avionics assemblies.

·Analyse electronic and avionics system faults using maintenance manuals and schematics.

·Interpret wiring diagrams and technical publications.

·Follow all aviation safety procedures and quality standards.

·Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved maintenance data.

·Identify safety hazards and report incidents or non-conformances.

About you:

The skills and qualifications needed for you to thrive include:

·An ability to read electrical schematics and aircraft technical manuals.

·Have strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

·A current driver’s licence.

·An ability to work in confined aircraft spaces.

·An ability to work at heights using maintenance platforms.

·Capability to lift and handle maintenance equipment safely.

·An ability to work remotely for short stints when required
