So, what duties can you expect to do in your apprenticeship?

• Maintain high-end sports turf across sporting fields, stadiums, cricket wickets and multi-sport discipline surfaces.
• Complete mowing, edging, line marking and general presentation of sports fields.
• Assist with turf renovations including aeration, topdressing, coring, scarifying and turf repairs.
• Assist with irrigation, hand watering and minor irrigation repairs.
• Apply fertiliser and assist with weed, pest and disease management.
• Operate ride-on mowers, utility vehicles and specialised turf equipment safely.
• Assist with cricket wicket preparation and maintenance.
• Prepare fields for games, training and sporting events.
• Learn and maintain turf across multiple sporting disciplines.
• Develop practical Sports Turf Management skills while completing TAFE training.

What will you need?

• Driver’s licence and own transport. Or ability to get to site.
• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check (if over 18 years old)
