Your duties will include:

  • Primary weed removal across riparian and bushland areas
  • Identify and remove invasive and priority weed species
  • Conduct weed control using manual, chemical and mechanical methods
  • Riparian area regeneration and rehabilitation works
  • Native planting and revegetation of degraded areas
  • Encourage and support natural native plant recruitment
  • Safely use hand tools, brush cutters, sprayers, herbicides and machinery
  • Monitor vegetation health, weed growth and regeneration progress
  • Follow environmental legislation, safety procedures and council requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of works completed and herbicide use

To be successful in this role, you might have:

  • A Current Drivers’ licence and own transport
  • National Police Check
  • White Card (required or willing to obtain)
  • Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or Bachelors (Highly Desirable)
