Role Overview:

Join Smokeball as our Business Process & Project Manager and help shape how the business runs as we continue to scale. You’ll own the full lifecycle of operational improvement — from spotting the process issues worth solving, through to designing, delivering and embedding the fix.

This isn’t process for process’s sake. You’ll bring sharp commercial judgement to prioritise the right initiatives, design solutions that are as simple as they need to be and protect the speed and autonomy that let this business move fast. You’ll combine hands-on process analysis with structured project delivery, reporting into our Country Manager – Australia.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Map, document and analyse current-state processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and risks
  • Design and validate future-state processes with subject-matter experts and operational stakeholders
  • Build data-driven business cases to prioritise the initiatives that matter most
  • Plan and manage improvement initiatives end-to-end scope, schedule, resourcing, budget and risk
  • Maintain key project artefacts: charters, plans, status reports and decision records
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and manage interdependencies across the change portfolio
  • Report clearly to sponsors and senior leadership on progress, risks and outcomes
  • Build engagement and communication plans to support adoption of change
  • Partner with training and enablement teams to ensure operational readiness ahead of go-live
  • Track benefits realisation post-implementation and coach teams on process thinking and project discipline
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, in each region and at all levels

What You’ll Bring:

  • Demonstrable experience across both process improvement and project/programme delivery, ideally within operations, transformation or consulting
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or equivalent CI qualification)
  • Strong working knowledge of project management frameworks — PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency with process mapping tools (Visio, Miro, Lucidchart or similar) and project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Monday.com or similar)
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills — comfortable presenting to senior leadership and coaching frontline teams
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insight and compelling business cases
  • Bonus: sector experience in technology / SaaS
