About the Role
As a Claims Officer, you will play a critical role in delivering a seamless, accurate, and customer-centric claims experience. You’ll be responsible for reviewing and assessing claims, supporting customers through what can often be a stressful time, and ensuring all claims are handled in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you’ll help resolve claims efficiently, identify potential risks, and uphold the highest standards of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess claims referred by the Customer Service team, making fair and policy-aligned resolution recommendations
- Deliver exceptional customer service by building rapport, addressing concerns with empathy, and keeping customers informed throughout the claims process
- Ensure all claims are processed in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Effectively prioritise workload to meet deadlines and perform efficiently under pressure, particularly during peak periods
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and act as a key point of contact for claims-related enquiries
- Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation, data entry, and records, following up on missing or incomplete information
- Support claims analysis to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Assist with preparing reports for senior management
- Identify and contribute ideas to improve claims processes, reduce risk, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in departmental and company-wide projects as required
About you

- Exposure to dispute management or regulatory bodies
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, including risk management practices
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience using CRM systems, claims management software, and Microsoft Office Suite
