About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Retail this role will be responsible for owning and building the assigned product strategies, and delivery of revenue and gross profit targets set for designated accounts.

In this role your ability to understand customer needs and deliver exceptional value will be pivotal in maintaining our reputation for delivering speed, certainty and convenience. With experience across homewares, you will engage deeply with senior decision-makers, forging lasting connections and securing high-value, long-term, repeatable sales.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring your customers experience the ‘Simba Difference’ through best-in-class high touch account management.
  • Working with the customer’s buying teams to identify gaps and opportunities in their product ranges.
  • Develop strategic product/ brand plans for Retail accounts, including value propositions to gain placement.
  • Use data-driven insights to enhance performance, refine customer experience, and drive profitability.
  • Present product development opportunities inspired by client feedback or market insights that could benefit multiple customers.
  • Achieving / exceeding sales targets.

To achieve success in this role:

You will have at least 5 years of experience managing accounts within Retail B2B, ideally with a good understanding of soft textiles, homewares and a keen eye for the latest trends.

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as a retail buyer within homewares (highly advantageous).
  • Strong B2B and B2C sales background with retail trading expertise.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and execute strategic plans.
  • Understanding of buying principles, lead times and the process in negotiating trading terms.
  • Confident communicator and skilled negotiator.
  • Proven ability to foster strong relationships, grow business outcomes and influence stakeholders at all levels.
