Senior Handyman | Immediate Start | $40-$50/hour | Vehicle and fuel provided

We are a reputable property management company providing furnished accommodation across Sydney, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Handyman to join our team and help maintain our growing portfolio of properties.

Our properties are fully furnished and include a range of household appliances, fixtures and fittings, so this is a hands-on and varied role suited to someone who is confident troubleshooting problems and completing a broad range of repairs independently.

A company vehicle and fuel will be provided for work-related travel. You must hold a valid driver’s licence and have your own tools.

Responsibilities:

• Attend maintenance requests across our properties throughout Sydney
• Diagnose faults and carry out general repairs and maintenance
• Repair and replace doors, locks, handles, hinges and other hardware
• Complete minor carpentry, patching, painting and general property repairs
• Troubleshoot and attend to furniture, fixtures and household appliances
• Assemble, repair and replace furniture where required
• Carry out minor plumbing-related maintenance within your level of competency
• Identify maintenance issues requiring licensed or specialist trades and report them to management
• Complete preventative maintenance and general property upkeep
• Purchase or collect required maintenance materials and parts when authorised
• Provide clear updates, photos and reports after completing jobs
• Maintain the company vehicle responsibly and keep tools and work areas organised
• Communicate professionally with occupants, property managers and the ShareSorted team
• Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Technician, Property Maintenance Officer or similar role
• Strong all-round maintenance and repair skills
• Experience troubleshooting a variety of property maintenance issues
• Good knowledge of household fixtures, fittings, furniture and appliances
• Ability to confidently diagnose problems and determine practical solutions
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance jobs throughout the day
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physically capable of carrying out hands-on maintenance work
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and confidence driving throughout Sydney
• Must have your own tools
• Relevant trade experience or qualifications will be highly regarded
