Cleaning Team Members | Alphington
We are a rapidly growing, commercial cleaning company with branches in all Australian States & Territories. Smart Corporate Services providing services to some of Australia’s leading brands and looking for a dynamic team of Cleaning staff to create a clean and orderly environment for our clients – a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening a venue’s reputation.
Reporting to the customer service manager, the cleaning staff will live the SCS’s Core Values of Passion, Accountability, Integrity, and Respect.
Ideally, you will have a background in the commercial cleaning environment, be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and a highly reliable Individual.
Shifts Available: Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 3.30 pm (Full time) | Monday to Friday 1 pm to 5 pm (Part time) | Saturday and Sunday 8 am to 3.30 pm
The scope of the role includes, but is not limited to:
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, treatment areas, offices, bathrooms, waiting areas, corridors, and common areas.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including the correct use of colour-coded cleaning equipment and approved disinfectants.
- Clean and sanitise high-touch surfaces such as door handles, handrails, lift buttons, light switches, and workstations.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of general, clinical, and recyclable waste in accordance with site procedures.
- Replenish consumables including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitiser, and other hygiene products.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, mops, and other approved machinery safely and effectively.
- Respond promptly to spills, body fluid incidents, and urgent cleaning requests using approved procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, incidents, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the Supervisor immediately.
- Complete cleaning schedules, checklists, and quality assurance documentation as required.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report faults promptly.
- Follow all workplace health and safety, infection control, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
- Deliver professional and courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong and clear communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail in cleaning.
- Committed to delivering excellent service & meet quality standards.
- The ability to work independently.
- Able to provide a National Police Clearance upon request.
- Should have legal working rights in Australia
