About the Role
SA Metro Care is seeking Male Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for support workers who are flexible and available to pick up short notice shifts, social support shifts, community access supports, and transport services across both the Northern and Southern Adelaide suburbs.
You will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants, assisting them to engage in their communities, attend appointments, participate in recreational activities, and achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide community access and social support services.
- Assist participants to attend appointments and activities.
- Support participants to build independence and social connections.
- Promote participant choice, dignity, and inclusion.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation.
- Follow individual support plans and organisational policies.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, and the support team.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of experience in disability support, aged care, or community services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, professional, and adaptable approach to support work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to accept short notice shifts when required.
- Flexible availability across weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
- Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, or complex needs is highly regarded.

- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete)
- Valid Australian work rights
