About the Opportunity

Join RSPCA Queensland as a Locum/Contract Veterinary Nurse, with flexible locum and contract opportunities available. Our hospital operates 24/7, offering day and night shift options to suit your availability.

Working in our busy hospital environment, you’ll provide medical and surgical nursing care to a diverse caseload, including public admissions, animal ambulance arrivals, Inspectorate cases, Community Outreach patients, and regional shelter transfers.

Supported by an experienced veterinary team, you will:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care and assist with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Administer medications and perform routine laboratory and pathology testing.
  • Triage patients, maintain records, and support hospital operations.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
  • Work collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient care.
