Summary of the role:
Reporting to the Automate Team Leader, the Project Engineer acts as the vital link between Product Management and the Technical Design team. The Project Engineer will possess broad technical knowledge and the ability to integrate multiple engineering disciplines to deliver robust, reliable, and high-quality products.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop project scope, timelines, budgets, and risk registers
- Coordinating cross-functional engineering activities across electronics, firmware, software, and mechanical disciplines
- Identifying and mitigating technical and project risks
- Conducting project reviews and technical assessments
- Supporting system-level design decisions and product development activities
- Developing requirements, verification plans, and project documentation
- Providing regular project updates on progress, timelines, and risks
- Prototyping, testing, and evaluating new product design (PCB Design)
What you should have:
- A degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline
- Previous experience in product development and project engineering
- Strong project planning and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design considerations
- Experience with Altium and/or SolidWorks
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes
- Exposure to systems engineering methodologies (highly regarded)
