This full-time position is needed within RMA, to assist in supporting the project management of our strong project pipeline and client base.

Our key project focus is large-scale industrial, commercial, agricultural and processing facilities, where operational efficiency, waste management and environmental impact are key. The opportunity

In this varied role you will:

  • Assist our Senior Project Managers to Lead Projects – The predominant focus will be translating our clients’ ideas and operational requirements, using your experience, into a toolkit for project management.
  • Become a Trusted Advisor – In a direct client facing role, you will develop relationships with RMA’s clients.
  • Be Supported – As a multidisciplinary firm, RMA has a wealth of technical specialists you can collaborate with and brainstorm to bring the project together.
  • Be Part of a Team – Be actively involved in RMA’s inclusive, high performance and enjoyable culture, whilst also having opportunities to explore our leadership pathways. This role will involve ad hoc travel to our other offices.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Technical Skills – ideally within the context of commercial and industrial facilities, client side project management understanding, and some experience including:

  • The ability to understand client drivers and project descriptions with the expertise to turn it into a defined project brief and plan.
  • Assist with the preparation and management of project designs, budgets, programs and delivery frameworks; to align with project goals, regulations, approval requirements, standards and other compliance areas.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with a team of consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Identification, mitigation and management of risks – client, project, RMA.
  • Strong commercial understanding and management.

Key soft skills that leverage your technical understanding including:

  • Leading – strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Proactive – use intuition, research and confidence to solve problems, challenge, and seek the right technical specialist input to finalise the direction.
  • Critical thinker – ability to create clarity and direction from project constraints.
  • Relationship management – strong communication, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised – manages time and information in structed, repeatable and trackable ways.

 

Credentials:

  1. Tertiary Bachelors Qualification in– Project Management / or Engineering.
  2. Ideally 2-3 years’ recent post graduate experience in client side or contractor side design management, predominantly in the commercial and industrial sectors.
  3. Experience in processing and agricultural facilities desirable.
  4. Open unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
  5. Advantage: General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
