Description
Keep our people connected, equipped and supported
We’re looking for an IT Operations Officer to join our team and take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of IT operations across the business.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, keeping things organised and making sure technology works for the people who rely on it. You’ll be the key point of contact between our employees, external IT provider and technology vendors, ensuring our teams have the right equipment, access and support when they need it.
You’ll also play an important role in supporting SharePoint, Microsoft 365, telecommunications, IT assets and technology projects across the business.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll have a varied role supporting the day-to-day technology needs of the business, including:
- Coordinating IT onboarding and offboarding, ensuring new starters are equipped and ready to go from day one.
- Managing user accounts, system access, permissions and email distribution lists.
- Coordinating hardware provisioning, deployment and retrieval, including laptops, phones, tablets and peripherals.
- Administering and maintaining SharePoint sites, permissions and content structures.
- Supporting the adoption of Microsoft 365 tools, including Copilot, through training, communication and user support.
- Acting as the day-to-day contact for our external IT service provider, managing escalations and monitoring service levels.
- Coordinating relationships with IT, hardware, software and telecommunications vendors.
- Managing company phone and mobile plans, device allocations and telecommunications requirements.
- Maintaining an accurate IT asset register, software licenses and system records.
- Ensuring on-site IT equipment, meeting room technology, printers and telephony are operational and arranging repairs or replacements when required.
- Supporting IT projects and digital initiatives, including device refreshes and SharePoint projects.
- Identifying opportunities to improve IT processes, systems and the overall employee technology experience.
