Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Boilermaker to join our dynamic team in Rocklea, Ashover Road, Queensland. This permanent, full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry. As an Apprentice Boilermaker, you will learn essential skills in metal fabrication and assembly, contributing to the production of high-quality automotive components.

About the Role

As an Apprentice Boilermaker, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople while developing your skills and completing your apprenticeship.

You will gain hands-on experience in:

  • General metal fabrication
  • Welding using MIG and TIG
  • Chassis modifications to new and used trucks
  • Chassis extensions and shortening
  • Fabrication and installation of truck bodies
  • Building Tipper Bodies, Curtainsiders, Beavertails and Flat Trays
  • Reading and understanding drawings
  • Learning to interpret CAD drawings
  • Using a range of workshop tools and equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Completing job paperwork and record keeping
