Shutdown Mechanical Supervisor

Adelaide Based | Workshop & Site Leadership | Competitive Hourly Rates

RSGX Group is seeking an experienced Shutdown Mechanical Supervisor to join our growing operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this full-time position offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering shutdown and project work safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

The Opportunity

This Adelaide-based role offers a diverse split between workshop operations and site-based project delivery:

  • 40% Adelaide Base and 60% on site
  • Full-time ongoing position

  • Workshop rate: $65.00 per hour based on a 38-hour week
  • Site rate: $80.00 per hour, including a $15.00 per hour site uplift

 

Qualifications and role requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering OR Mechanical trade qualification such as Fitter, Boilermaker, Mechanic.
  • Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience within mining, manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • White Card (desirable)
  • Working at Heights (desirable)
  • Confined Space (desirable)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and preparation of upcoming projects, monitor productivity, quality and project performance
  • Deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Support estimating and quotation activities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to workshop crew, shutdown crews and subcontractors
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and project readiness
  • Coordinate parts ordering and procurement activities as well as maintain responsibility for company equipment and site assets
  • Assist with project manning and induction requirements
  • Develop project documentation including JSEAs, SWMS and other safety documents
  • Conduct workshop safety and quality audits as well as incident and injury management
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with RSGX HSEQ systems and procedures
