About the Role 

We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer as part of our Project Team to execute commissioning of substations on a major resource project just outside Newman in WA.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing team delivering critical infrastructure in the heart of the Pilbara, one of Australia’s most significant and dynamic resource regions.

The role offers exposure to industry-leading standards, modern test equipment, and the chance to contribute to a project that will play a key role in supporting ongoing operations in the mining sector.

This is a FIFO role on 2:1 roster from Australian capital cities to WA.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance off and onsite via technical understanding of electrical project work scopes.
  • Liaise with Engineers, Technicians, and Engineering Managers to determine scheduling and management of resources.
  • Monitor safe execution of the project.
  • Provide project reporting on progress, commercial, schedule, etc.
  • Perform quality checks on project work, including coordination with third party inspection if required.
  • Ensure approval of correct and timely paperwork for a seamless monthly billing process.
  • Ensure project schedules are current, QA documentation is reviewed and transmitted to client.
  • Complete project RFI, TQ and NCRs, and maintain registers.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated with register maintained. 

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 years+ in a similar role.
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in power, lighting, control and communications.
  • Commercial experience with preparation of delays/variation claims.
  • Ability to read and interpret Electrical drawings.
  • Good communication skills.
