Quality Assurance Coordinator – Medicolegal Reports

RediMedicoLegal is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our growing national medicolegal team. You will play a key role in reviewing and finalising independent medical reports used in personal injury, workers compensation, insurance and legal matters.

This role requires strong report review skills and demonstrated experience with AMA5 and AMA6.

About the role

We are looking for a detail-focused Quality Assurance Coordinator to review and audit independent medicolegal reports across a range of schemes, specialties and injury types.

This role would suit someone from a:

  • medicolegal report QA, auditing, editing or report production background
  • personal injury law or litigation support background
  • insurance or workers compensation claims background
  • injury management or impairment assessment environment

 You will be responsible for reviewing reports to ensure they are accurate, clear, complete, impartial, well-structured and aligned with referral questions, supporting documentation and relevant regulatory requirements.

You will also liaise with medical specialists, provide constructive feedback, resolve report queries and support timely report release through our internal QA platform.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Review independent medicolegal reports for accuracy, clarity, completeness, consistency and impartiality
  • Check reports against referral questions, supporting documentation and client-specific requirements
  • Apply relevant impairment assessment guides and regulatory requirements, including AMA5 and AMA6
  • Identify inconsistencies, missing information or areas requiring clarification
  • Liaise professionally with medical specialists to finalise report content
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to specialists as part of the QA process
  • Format and finalise reports in line with RML’s style guide and reporting procedures
  • Check attachments, templates and report details before release
  • Support report workflow, prioritisation and turnaround requirements
  • Work with internal teams to resolve missing information, production issues or escalation points

 

What you’ll need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience with AMA5 and AMA6
  • At least 3 years’ experience in personal injury law, insurance claims, workers compensation, injury management, medicolegal reporting or a related field
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading and document review skills
  • Ability to review complex reports and identify gaps, inconsistencies or unsupported conclusions
  • Experience editing draft reports generated by automated speech recognition software highly regarded
  • Confidence liaising with medical specialists and providing constructive written feedback
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and formatting skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Sound judgement when handling confidential and sensitive information

 Experience with AMA 4, Comcare Guides, litigation support, impairment assessments or independent medical examination reports will be highly regarded.
