Key duties
- Processing creditor payments and expenses
- Processing debtor invoicing and receipting
- Monthly intercompany charges and recoveries
- Expense monitoring and analysis
- Analysing and responding to queries (internal and external)
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- End-of-month processing
- Monthly reconciliations
Project accounting duties including:
- Preparing progress reports
- Preparing progress claims
- Analysing variations to original budget
- Tracking cost spend to date and cost to complete
- Drawing down funds from finance facilities to pay for projects
- Liaising with project managers (internal and external) and providing support
What we are looking for
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
- A minimum of two years’ experience with the Xero accounting package
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Highly organised
- A problem solver
- A proven ability to adapt and learn quickly
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience in construction, engineering or project-based environments will be highly regarded
