Love turning data into gold? As our Senior Plant Metallurgist, you’ll lead the technical performance of our processing plant, driving improvements in gold recovery, throughput and plant efficiency. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance and Technical Services, you’ll mentor a team of Metallurgists while delivering innovative solutions that keep our plant performing at its best.   • Lead metallurgical performance and optimisation across the processing plant.
  • Analyse plant data to improve gold recovery, throughput and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Plant Metallurgists.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee plant surveys, sampling programs and metallurgical test work.
  • Troubleshoot plant performance issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations and Maintenance to maximise plant stability and reliability.
  • Manage metallurgical accounting, reconciliation and reporting.
  • Support production planning, forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Assist with commissioning plant upgrades and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
  • Build strong working relationships across Mining, Geology and Technical Services.

About You:

You are an experienced metallurgist who enjoys leading people as much as improving plant performance. You combine technical expertise with a practical, hands-on approach and are passionate about continuous improvement.

You’ll also bring:

  • A degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in gold processing and plant metallurgy.
  • Strong knowledge of crushing, grinding, leaching, adsorption, elution and gold recovery circuits.
  • Proven success improving plant performance and recovery.
  • Experience leading or mentoring metallurgical teams.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and data interpretation skills.
  • Experience with metallurgical accounting and reporting systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
