Medical Services Officer

Ravenswood Gold is seeking a proactive and adaptable Medical Services Officer to join our Health, Safety & Training team. This unique position combines clinical care, emergency response, injury management, and administrative support to help maintain a safe, healthy, and productive workforce across our mining operation.

About the Role

As a Medical Services Officer, you will provide frontline medical support while contributing to emergency response capability and administrative functions across site. This multi-disciplinary role is designed to deliver operational flexibility and ensure critical services remain available to our workforce.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Clinical & Injury Management

  • Provide immediate treatment and ongoing management of workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Coordinate medical care, rehabilitation programs, and Return to Work processes.
  • Maintain confidential medical records and documentation.

Emergency Response

  • Participate in site emergency response activities.
  • Undertake Emergency Services Officer (ESO) duties as trained.
  • Support emergency preparedness and operational readiness across site.

Compliance & Administration

  • Assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Maintain accurate medical, injury management, training, and safety records.
  • Support purchasing, data entry, and general administration activities.

Workforce Support

  • Provide coverage across clinic, emergency response, and administration functions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Health, Safety & Training team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or qualification as a Paramedic.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and administration capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience in mining, industrial, remote, or resource sector environments.
  • Injury management and Return to Work experience.
  • Emergency response or ESO qualifications, or willingness to obtain.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
