Summary:

At Ravenswood Gold, safety isn’t just a policy—it’s our operational core. We are seeking an experienced Emergency Services Officer (ESO) to champion crisis preparedness, provide critical incident response, and maintain site security across our leases.

This role offers a unique balance of emergency management, workforce training, and community engagement, making it an excellent opportunity for a dedicated safety professional looking to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Emergency & Medical Response: Act as a first responder to site and community incidents.
  • Provide high-quality pre-hospital care and clinical support alongside site Registered Nurses.
  • Training Delivery: Develop, deliver, and track emergency training packages. Facilitate training days to keep the Emergency Response Team (ERT) site-ready.
  • Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular inspections of fire systems, extinguishers, and site emergency equipment in line with statutory Australian Standards.
  • Site Security & Access: Monitor site perimeters, conduct plant/equipment checks, administer fitness-for-work (drug & alcohol) testing, and perform night-shift camp walkarounds for noise compliance.
  • Incident Investigation: Assist with risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

About you:

Essential:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
  • RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
  • CPP31318 Certificate 3 in Security Operations
  • Certificate IV in Emergency Medical Response (or equivalent)
  • HLTAID011 (First Aid) & HLTAID015 (Advanced Resuscitation)
  • Previous experience in mining, resources, or pre-hospital emergency services

Highly Desirable:

  • Evidence of skills and competencies supporting crisis and emergency response background
  • Demonstrated experience in training program delivery and workforce development
