You will help keep core technology services reliable, secure and connected across our mine site.  You will work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to a broad technology environment and contribute to initiatives that improve safety, productivity and operational resilience.  You will play an important role in maintaining and improving the technology systems that keep a 24/7 mining operation connected, secure and productive.  This is not a traditional IT support role. It is an opportunity to develop real-world engineering skills in an environment where technology directly impacts safety, production and business performance and live and work in sunny North Queensland.

What you will be doing

  • Support and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks across operational and corporate environments.

  • Assist with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online administration, permissions, reporting and site configuration.
  • Investigate incidents, document solutions and identify opportunities to automate or improve recurring tasks.
  • Partner with internal teams and technology providers on upgrades, projects and continuous improvement.

What you will bring

  • A degree in information technology, computer science or networking field.

  • Clear communication, good documentation habits and the confidence to work with people across the business.
  • A strong safety mindset, personal accountability and enthusiasm for learning in a hands-on environment.

You do not need to know everything on day one

We value potential, curiosity and initiative. If you meet most of the criteria and are excited about expanding a career in IT and networking, we encourage you to apply.

What you will gain

  • Broad experience across networking, cloud, cyber security, infrastructure and operational technology.
  • Mentoring from an experienced team with strong site and industry knowledge.
  • Support for relevant training, certifications and professional development.
  • Meaningful project exposure and the opportunity to see the operational impact of your work.
  • A competitive remuneration package and clear opportunities for technical growth.

The opportunity

This is a site-based role supporting our Ravenswood operation as well as Townsville and Brisbane environments. The position works an 8/6 DIDO roster. You will join a collaborative and forward-thinking team where ideas are welcomed, learning is supported and reliable technology makes a genuine difference to the business.
