Total Remuneration 

$46.70 per year (pro rata where applicable), plus 12% Superannuation, 17.5% leave loading and the option to salary sacrifice up to $15,900 to increase your take home pay

POSITION SCOPE AND PURPOSE 

The Projects Support Officer position reports directly to the Manager – Operations and Organisational Support and works as part of a team where interdependencies and collaboration with colleagues, QDN members and internal and external stakeholders are critical to the successful delivery of projects, services and activities.  

The Projects Support Officer is accountable for the delivery of work assignments and projects, recognising when matters need to be referred to management for resolution.  They will work to ensure the timely achievement of deliverables, within agreed budgets and performance levels. The position may require some travel.   

The appointee will work within the requirements of relevant legislation including the Queensland Human Rights Act, and QDN’s Quality System, demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and contribute to internal and external auditing processes as required under ISO9001. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 

The appointee will fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with human rights principles and QDN’s ethics, principles and values as reflected in the organisation’s strategic plan 2024-28. The Projects Support Officer will be responsible for: 

  • Assist and support the delivery of pieces of work through organisational projects including delivery of activities, tracking data and information and administration in conjunction with Lead and other relevant teams including:  
  • Support system audits and system improvements across the organisation including to improve data quality, user engagement, workflow efficiencies, automation, digital transformation and other new implementations. 
  • Provide responsive systems support across the organisation including troubleshooting systems issues. 
  • Assist in the training of staff, administration and development of the CRM system and assist in identifying gaps in data collection and implement standardised data governance protocols. 
  • Provide input to the development of tools that enhance QDN’s capacity to measure impact, support decision-making and streamline operations. 
  • Assist in creating dashboards to improve reporting 
  • Support effective communication and liaison with broad range of stakeholders in QDN’s work including internal staff, management, customers, consultants, and other external project stakeholders including development of materials for training and guidance for commonly used systems. 
  • Assist with the preparation of project reporting mechanisms and ensure they are communicated with internal and external stakeholders as required 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement culture, business and organisational process improvements using digital tools and the growth and reputation of QDN through contributing to actions and appropriate change 
  • Fulfil this role in accordance with QDN’s policies and procedures and the Quality Management System.  
  • Carry out other duties as deemed reasonable and appropriate to the role as directed by the Lead/Manager.  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

– Ability to work to identify business needs and provide recommendations about system solutions.  

Technical knowledge in working with digital systems including Microsoft 365, Dynamics365, PowerAutomate and Power BI applications.  

– Ability to collaborate and consult with stakeholders to co-design systems.

– Sound level of knowledge and awareness of the disability sector and/or experience supporting projects in the disability sector would be considered an asset.  

QUALIFICATIONS  

University degree and/or equivalent relevant worked experience in the areas of business administration, technology, or a related field.
