Description

Attention all registered nurses – come and join a high quality, supportive and long established general practice in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

We are looking for a registered nurse to join our supportive clinical team to assist in providing excellent primary care to the local community. 

The successful candidate will report to the Practice Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical nursing services to patients.
  • Assist doctors with consultations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and wound care as required.
  • Provide health education and advice to patients on a range of health issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
  • Lead and mentor nursing staff to support professional growth and consistent care delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and review of nursing policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
  • Participate in practice accreditation and other complaince.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong clinical skills – some experience in General Practice is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and professional approach.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.
  • Recalls and Reminder management using software systems.
  • Working knowledge of Best Practice software.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Experience working as a registered nurse in a GP setting for two years or more is desirable.
