Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) is seeking an experienced and passionate Child Health Nurse to join our Remote Services team and make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of Martu children and families across some of Western Australia’s most remote communities

About the Role

• Full-time (75 hours per fortnight)
• FIFO roster
• Accommodation, board and lodging provided
• Work within a multidisciplinary team delivering child, family and school health services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver child health assessments and developmental screening
• Coordinate childhood immunisations
• Provide family and school health services
• Support children with complex health needs
• Deliver health promotion and education programs
• Work closely with communities, schools and visiting specialists.

About You

• Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
• Child and Family Health qualification and/or relevant experience
• Experience working with Aboriginal communities and remote health services
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Requirements

• National Police Clearance
• Working With Children Check
• Current Manual Driver’s Licence
• Ability to travel by 4WD and charter aircraft.
