Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) is seeking an experienced and passionate Child Health Nurse to join our Remote Services team and make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of Martu children and families across some of Western Australia’s most remote communities
About the Role
- Full-time (75 hours per fortnight)
- FIFO roster
- Accommodation, board and lodging provided
- Work within a multidisciplinary team delivering child, family and school health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver child health assessments and developmental screening
- Coordinate childhood immunisations
- Provide family and school health services
- Support children with complex health needs
- Deliver health promotion and education programs
- Work closely with communities, schools and visiting specialists.
About You
- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
- Child and Family Health qualification and/or relevant experience
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities and remote health services
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Requirements
- National Police Clearance
- Working With Children Check
- Current Manual Driver’s Licence
- Ability to travel by 4WD and charter aircraft.
