About the Role

PSD Energy is seeking a motivated and skilled Site Electrician to join our electrical site team on a 3:1 roster.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity suited to a qualified Electrician who is looking to build their career in a site-based, project delivery environment within the rapidly growing renewable energy industry. PSD Energy continues to grow across renewable energy and infrastructure projects, creating opportunities for people who want to develop their skills and be part of a company with strong future project pathways.

The current project is located at the Horsham Solar Farm in Victoria, with upcoming renewable energy projects based in rural South Australia.

The role will support electrical installation, maintenance, inspections, testing, fault-finding, switching programs, commissioning assistance and site-based project delivery. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of electrical works, while contributing to project milestones across large-scale renewable energy projects.

This role includes a competitive Living Away from Home Allowance, 20% site loading and superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant regulations, standards and project requirements
  • Conducting routine inspections and testing of electrical installations to support compliance and safety
  • Diagnosing electrical faults and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Supporting upcoming switching programs and commissioning activities
  • Assisting with hot commissioning requirements to support project schedule and milestone delivery
  • Providing supervision and practical guidance to apprentices where required
  • Collaborating with site teams, supervisors and project personnel to complete work safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used and site activities
  • Following health and safety regulations, safe work procedures and site requirements
  • Promoting a safe, reliable and team-focused working environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Completion of a relevant electrical apprenticeship or training program
  • Qualified Electrician status
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, regulations and safety protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and project documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • A proactive approach to learning and developing new skills
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Willingness to support site-based project activities, commissioning assistance and apprentice supervision where required
