PALS – Regional Disability & Living Supports is seeking a people-focused and organised People and Culture Advisor to join our purpose-driven team.

Are you organised, people-focused and interested in a role where your work supports a more inclusive community?

This is a varied, hands-on support role working closely with the CEO and senior management to coordinate day-to-day People and Culture activities across the organisation.

You will support recruitment, onboarding, employee records, workforce information, surveys, compliance and routine staff enquiries. Complex employment, industrial relations, policy and employee-relations matters will be supported by the CEO, senior management and/or external advisers.

About the role

You will support the day-to-day People and Culture activities across the organisation.

Your work will include:

  • Coordinating recruitment administration, including advertising, interview arrangements, candidate communication and pre-employment checks.
  • Preparing routine employment documentation and supporting onboarding, employment changes and offboarding.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, People and Culture systems and compliance registers.
  • Responding to routine staff enquiries about leave, payroll administration and People and Culture processes.
  • Supporting workforce planning activities, staff surveys, reporting and data collection.
  • Assisting with communicating approved policies and coordinating performance-management meetings as directed.

About you

You will bring:

  • Relevant HR, business administration or related qualifications, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in HR, People and Culture, recruitment, payroll, administration or a related support role.
  • Strong organisation, communication and recordkeeping skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Discretion, integrity and sound judgement when handling confidential information.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
  • A current Victorian driver licence and ability to travel between PALS sites as required.
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or ability to obtain one before commencement.

Desirable: Experience in recruitment, onboarding, workforce information or compliance tracking; experience in disability, community services, health or not-for-profit settings; and an understanding of, or willingness to learn, the disability services and NDIS environment.
