Junior Retail Assistant

Prices Plus – Bowen

Casual — after school and weekends

 

Prices Plus is a family-owned Australian variety retailer with stores across Queensland and northern New South Wales. Our team is built around five values: People, Customers, Accountability, Community and Relationships.

This is a first job you can be proud of. You will be on the floor and on the register serving customers and keeping the store looking its best. No experience is needed — we will train you.

Hours

  • Varying casual shifts after school and on weekends
  • Shift times vary according to the store’s trading requirements
  • Up to 12 hours per week during school term, within the limits that apply to school-aged employees
  • Additional hours available during school holidays

What You Will Be Doing

  • Welcoming customers and giving friendly, helpful service
  • Operating the register and processing sales on our POS system
  • Replenishing shelves and keeping product presentation neat
  • Keeping the store clean, tidy and well presented
  • Helping out with general store tasks as directed by your supervisor

What We Are Looking For

  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn — no retail experience required
  • Reliability: turning up on time for every rostered shift
  • Confidence communicating with to customers and team members of all ages
  • Availability after school and across the weekend
  • Ability to be on your feet for a shift and to lift and move stock safely
  • Written permission from a parent or guardian
