Preston Hire is a leading business in the Hire & Rental Industry providing specialised lifting equipment to the Construction and Infrastructure.

Our SuperCrane™ fleet includes Hydraulic Crawler, Mini and Mobile Cranes operating across New South Wales and beyond. We focus on delivering safe, reliable and efficient lifting solutions supported by experienced operational teams and high-quality equipment.

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the growth of our SuperCrane™ division across New South Wales.

This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, identifying market opportunities and supporting profitable fleet utilisation across the SuperCrane™ product range.

The position involves regular customer visits, site walk-throughs, coordination with internal operational teams and management of opportunities from enquiry through to project completion.

KEY TASKS INCLUDE:

  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships across allocated territories
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Monitoring market activity, competitor movements and industry trends
  • Preparing quotes, supporting tender submissions and managing sales pipelines
  • Coordinating with operations to confirm equipment availability and project requirements
  • Managing customer enquiries and supporting project delivery outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and reporting activity

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Experience in business development, sales or account management within construction, hire or related industries
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customers, projects and priorities
  • Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Current driver’s licence

Experience within the crane, construction or heavy equipment hire industry will be highly regarded.
